About Our Patchouli essential oil from Aceh Barat (North Aceh)
Aged Rarities
Today we attempt to illustrate the “Getting better with Age” quality of Patchouli with a very special offer from our vaults. We are delighted to offer a very limited batch of beautifully aged Patchouli for those searching for exotic and exquisite fragrance. The two oils have been distilled in 2012 and are examples of distillates from two regions of Aceh Province in Sumatra.
These two rarities may hold special appeal as they are the first distillates of a COOP in Aceh that was established in Aceh after the great Tsunami in 2006. Built with the economic help of European donor countries the aim of the COOP is to allow the local population to benefit from their own natural resources.
Both oils are from Aceh in Northern Sumatra. The Barat region is to the very North of Sumatra. The oil is the first offering from this COOP after the Tsunami
This Patchouli is also widely sought after by major perfume houses as the high-end Patchouli used in fine perfumery. Aged for 12 years.
This Patchouli has an elegant and alluring fragrance combined with a broad spectrum of healing properties – ranging from depression to dry skin – and is extremely well rounded, woody and smoky notes softened by the ageing process.
From a COOP in Aceh.
Aromatic Notes
Earthy, smokey, spicy and also slightly sweet.
