About Our Organic Spikenard Essential Oil
The roots and rhizomes of this dark green Nepalese oil render an elegant fragrance, earthy and reminiscent of cold stone.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine 1 - 2 drops are applied to the base of the spine to ground and strengthen an unfocused and disorganized personality.
The large sesquiterpene compounds in Spikenard oil (the same as in Valerian Root) contribute to the overall calming effects – for the heart, for the skin, for the mind. Scientific literature supports its use as a hypnosedative, for anxiety and depression, as well as for its hepato- and cardioprotective activity.

Direction For Use
Topical use: apply topically diluted in a carrier oil or undiluted
Inhalation: diffuse or inhale
