About Our Spearmint Essential Oil
A fresh antiviral oil for travel, it can help with nausea or food poisoning.
In French style aromatherapy, Spearmint oil is used as a calming agent – especially for children. According to L’Aromathérapie Exactement its main indications are as a mucolytic for acute and chronic bronchitis, and to address poor digestion, bile deficiency and inflamed bladder infections. In Morocco, the native Spearmint, Mentha spicata, is also called ‘Nana’. It is the classical flavor of Maghrebi tea – a drink famous all over North Africa. Interestingly, the dominant compound in Spearmint oil, R-(–)-carvone, that gives the sweet, fruity, minty aroma, is an enantiomer (mirror image) of S-(+)-carvone, the dominant compound in Caraway Seed oil. A Bio Authentic Original.
