This essential oil is cultivated and harvested exclusively from the field in Haut Provence (pictured above) by one of our most distinguished distillers.

To the best of our knowledge our Sage petites feuilles is the only low ketone Sage cultivated according to the requirements of AB and the SIMPLES organizations.

Research and Therapeutic Applications

Sage oils in general have long been mentioned in British herbal encyclopedias as agents to improve memory and to repair nerve tissue. Current science supports this traditional understanding of the various Salvia species. Research has been conducted on the different varieties of Sage oil which contain much lower concentration of thujone than regular Salvia officinalis. These oils are much preferred to treat nervous system issues because of the low or complete absence of toxicity.

Most research on low ketone Sage has been performed on Salvia lavandulifolia which is close if not the same as Sage petites feuilles.
