About Our Benihi Oil
Benihi oil is one of the most wonderful wood aromas in aromatherapy, comparable to Agarwood.
Research shows Benihi Wood essential oil to be effective against a large variety of molds, mildew, and fungal conditions in the body. Benihi oil is distilled from the wood of Chamaecyparis formosensis Matsum. Its fragrance is quite similar to that of the Hinoki Wood oil (C. obtusa) and is referred to in Taiwan as Red Cypress. The wood of this tree is stringy and appears flimsy and the essential oil components are always on guard and protect it from termites and other infestations. Like in the human body the oil protects the tree from molds and fungal infection.
In locales where it is grown and distilled, the Benihi wood oil is used to eliminate termite and mosquito larvae and is used as as a repellent.

Aromatics Notes
