The Blue Lotus Absolute we offer is from Sri Lanka, where it is also the national flower. This buttery wax is the residual from the extraction process. It retains a beautiful and resilient fragrance. It is the perfect base for a solid perfume and can also be explored as a unique material within a complex perfume. This special Blue Lotus Wax also stands on its own as a luxurious hand emollient. It is a great addition to homemade hand cremes and similar products. Since this is not a common product, it offers the opportunity for experimentation and exploration.
A few years ago our producer of Blue Lotus Absolute made the wax residue from the production process available in the form of Blue Lotus Wax. It was an immediate sellout, as it is much less pricey than the absolute, yet still carries the classic Nymphea cerulea (Blue Lotus) fragrance. After persistent requests, they finally produced the wax again for us. Therefore, we can offer a small quantity at a very reasonable price. This wax is pure plant material extracted from the Nymphea flower. Its consistency is soft and emollient, a perfect balm with a ravishing subtle fragrance.
