About Our Gurjum Essential Oil

The oleoresin obtained from the Dipterocarpus turbinatus tree is a viscous, woody and sweet smelling oil. Ayurvedic and other traditional healing systems have used it for allergic skin conditions, eczema and psoriasis. This oil is characterized by a high concentration of the sesquiterpene, alpha-gurjunene, a known agent against inflammation. A perfect grounding oil, Gurjum has an affinity to the urogenital system and the respiratory tract.  Also known as garjan, gurjan, and gurjun balsam.

Aromatic Notes

Warm, woody, sweet yet dry, balsamic and resinous with hints of pine, patchouli and camphor notes.

Direction For Use

Topical use: apply topically diluted in a carrier oil or undiluted.

Oral use: dilute 1-2 drops in a glass of water. You can add 1 drop to a tablespoon of olive oil or a piece of bread. You can make your own capsule by adding 1 drop to your desired carrier oil.
