Wintergreen is composed of nearly 99% methyl salicylate and could be considered Nature’s version of Aspirin. Today, it is found in OTC remedies for tendonitis and rheumatism, as a general analgesic, and in liniments as a rubefacient to warm and relieve the pain of muscle cramps and overexertion.
