About Our Galbanum Essential Oil

With Galbanum essential oil, distilled from the gum resin of Ferula gummosa the exciting chemistry happens in the broad variety of trace components. There are a number of highly unusual thio (sulfur) derivatives such as butane thionate compounds, and unusual nitrogen components such as 2-methoxy-3-isobutylpyrazine. Togehther with musk like Phtalides such as Methyl-cyclo-pentdecanolide they make for the unmistakeable fragrance which is not quite like musk, but similarily exalting. Indispensable for green fragrance compositions.

Aromatic Notes

This oil has an Intense green fragrance with woody and balsamic notes. A bit stronger then the CO2 version.

Direction For Use

Topical use: apply topically diluted in a carrier oil or undiluted.

Oral use: dilute 1-2 drops in a glass of water. You can add 1 drop to a tablespoon of olive oil or a piece of bread. You can make your own capsule by adding 1 drop to your desired carrier oil.

Inhalation: diffuse or inhale.

Other uses: widely used for creating blends.
