According to French style aromatherapy, Celery seed oil chelates and removes toxic bivalent heavy metals such as Cd++ and Hg++ from the liver and kidneys. Limonene is the dominant constituent found in Celery Seed essential oil, followed by two-pronged phthalide molecules which are responsible for the characteristic dry, crisp Celery Seed aroma and dual chelation activity.
